T&D Solar design, supply and install grid-connected solar systems ranging in size to meet the needs and objectives of customers.

T&D Solar has a proven track record of designing and installing solar power solutions for customers so they can enjoy the benefit of clean, free electricity by converting the energy in sunlight.

Grid-Connect Solar (PV) Projects

The following Grid-Connect Solar (PV) projects have been selected to demonstate a cross-section of T&D Solar's capability and experience:

> 3.0kW Residential

Project Scope:

The owner of this semi-rural property approached T&D Solar based on referral from a previous T&D customer, looking for a cost effective solution to replace their average daily power usuage of 13kWh per day with power generated by the sun. North facing roof space was abundant so several options were proposed and discussed.

The Solution:

3.04kW grid-connect solar PV system installed on north facing roof comprising 16x Suntech 190W modules coupled with a Growatt Sungold 3000 inverter to convert the DC power to AC. Taking into account various factors including orientation and tilt the expected average daily kWh production for the system is 12.8kWh.

> 9.6kW Residential

Project Scope:

The owner of this property approached T&D Solar seeking a solution to offset a significant proportion of their power bill which represented an average daily power consumption of 48kWh. The premises has a large north facing roof space that had approximately 60% already covered with solar heating for the swimming pool and also a large east facing roof area clear from shading.

  9.6kW Solar PV System

The Solution:

9.6kW grid-connect solar PV system with 4.8kW of panels installed on both the north and east facing roof areas coupled with a Power-One Aurora 10.0-OUTD inverter to convert the DC power to AC across the 3 phases. The estimated average daily kWh production for the total system is 37kWh and based on the estimated power being returned to the grid given the power consumption pattern is approximately 30% representing significant annual savings.
  9.6kW Solar PV System
> 3.6kW Residential

Project Scope:

The owner of this property approached T&D Solar seeking a solution to offset a proportion of their power bill which represented an average daily power usage of 25kWh. The premises being a court-yard style home had minimal north facing roof area. After a detailed measure of the north facing roof area at the site visit and discussion around the customers objectives, various options were presented and a solution agreed.

The Solution:

To maximise the available north facing roof area a 3.6kW grid-connect solar PV system was installed comprising 1.8kW on both the north and west facing roof areas utilising a Power-One Aurora 3.6-OUTD to independently manage the different orientation of the arrays and maximise energy production. The estimated average daily kWh production for the total system is 14.1kWh.

> 1.5kW Retirement Villages

Project Scope:

As a Lifestyle SA approved and preferred supplier, T&D Solar was invited to meet with residents of The Sands, Lifestyle Village at Seaford through their Community Group to discuss the opportunities and benefits of solar power for residents premises.

Residents had approval from Lifestyle SA to install 1.5kW solar systems and were aware of the reductions in Small Scale Technology Certificates which could be used to offset the out of pocket expense for the system therefore the process was time critical with 30 June 2011 fast approaching.

  1.5kW Solar PV Systems

The Solution:

Site Inspections and one-on-one discussions were undertaken for those considering solar power and how it would benefit them specifically-resulting in 20+ installations of 1.5kW grid-connect solar PV systems for residents in the village with an estimated average daily kWh production per system installed of 6.3kWh per day which collectively will result in approximately 48,200kWh of energy being generated by the sun per year as a result of the installations.

Further to this as a direct result of the quality of installation and service, T&D Solar continue to be referred to other residents as they come to understand the benefits of a grid-connected solar system.
